Jared Bryant, Interim Head Pastor
Jared and his family started attending Resurrection at its formation. He later came on staff as an Associate Pastor and now serves as Resurrection's Interim Head Pastor. Jared attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta, and has additional counseling training from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation. He is married to Kaitie, and they have two young boys (Ethan & Andy) who make them laugh, cry, and realize they are in way over their heads.
Randy Beck, Elder
Randy Beck and his wife Beth were part of the original core group that helped plant Resurrection Presbyterian Church in 2010. Randy teaches at the University of Georgia School of Law. He and Beth have two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kristina. Kaitlyn is currently enrolled in law school near Boston area and Kristina is studying electrical engineering in Atlanta.
Todd Harding, Elder
Todd grew up in Chattanooga, TN, but has spent most of his adult life in Georgia working for BellSouth and now AT&T in network architecture and design. He and his wife Stephanie were part of the core group launching Resurrection Presbyterian in 2010. He has three children and enjoys music, mountain biking, and movies.
Brent Weatherly, Elder
Brent Weatherly grew up in Stone Mountain, Ga and attended Tucker HS, where he met and first began dating his wife, Kim. The Weatherlys moved to Athens in 2000 so Brent could earn a Masters in Computer Science and have lived in the area since. Brent works in the sciences, developing software tools to help researchers understand their data (it's more exciting than it sounds). Brent and Kim have 4 kids, Joy (16), Caroline and Samantha (fraternal twins, 14), and baby brother Owen (12). They began attending Resurrection in 2012. Brent loves hosting dinners in his backyard, cooking pizzas in a wood-fired oven and fellowship around a warm fire pit.
Ryan Swingle, Elder
Ryan Swingle is a local attorney specializing in criminal defense. He and his wife Amy have three children, Riley and Amelia (age 11) and Rory (age 8). Ryan was born in Washington State, grew up in south Georgia, and attended the University of Georgia.
We are very excited to have installed our first class of deacons in the fall of 2017. The hands and feet of service at Resurrection, this group of men help Resurrection live out its mandate to live faithfully as a community of believers serving one another and our city.
Carla Kooistra, Finance
Carla Kooistra is a financial administrator at Resurrection. She came to Resurrection in 2015. Carla and her husband Paul have three girls, Carson, Molly, and Ava.
ashlie johnson, pastoral support
Ashlie and her family have been part of Resurrection since the beginning. She has 4 children, Lucy (18), Noah (16), Levi (15) and Rose (12). She loves organization and hospitality. She also runs her own small floral design business, Bud and Bloom.
Joel May, Music Leader
Joel started leading the music at Resurrection in January of 2014 while he was studying Religion and History at UGA. After marrying his wife, Maddie, and finishing his undergrad studies in May 2015, Joel started working full-time with Reformed University Fellowship as an intern. Joel is passionate about all things related to recreation and exercise, learning, fostering community and friendship, and whistling the melody line to songs that are too high for him to comfortably sing.
